The History Of House Music
This is a presentation I made on emaze which is about the history of my chosen genre, House music. I chose House music because I pretty much listen to 'house every weekend'. I was introduced to House music by the most common of music media, the radio, more specifically Capital fm. House music, to me, is the perfect type of music as it can have a lot of emotion in some parts, and then goes to a beat which others like myself can't not move to. Making this presentation has helped me to understand the ways in which House has elongated the publics expectations of the music itself. This knowledge has let me see a pattern in the target market that I will induce onto my magazine; e.g. The main age group who listen to house music is aged 18-24.

Mass Vs. Niche Magazine
This is a Powtoon I made to show my understanding of Mass and Niche magazines and the difference between them. This will help me in the future, especially when I come to my magazine design assignment, in which I will decide to make my magazine have a specific target market.

Iconography In Music
For this task I used a programme called SimpleMind. This has allowed me to convey the most recognisable memorabilia of artists careers (in my opinion). For example The Beatles are undoubtedly most known for their songs or the album cover for "Abbey Road" (shown below 'The Beatles'). Another well known artist is a more unorthadox musician, as he does not try take over the world by music, but rather through dinner. Commonly known as Levi Roots, Keith Valentine Graham is known for his launch of Reggae Reggae Sauce. Althought not the average musician, I have put him in my mind map to show the contrast between tangible and intangible recognition. I have created this SimpleMind so that I have a further understanding of icons in the music industry past and present.
